Dutch to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Restraint of trade clause | | Dutch term or phrase: onverminderd de vorige rechten | | I am struggling with a small paragraph in a restraint of trade clause that contains the above phrase. The entire paragraph reads as follows: "onverminderd de overige rechten van de vennootschap krachtens de wet of de onderhavige overeenkomst, zoals het recht om nakoming van de overtreden bepaling dan wel een verbod, of in plaats van deze boete, shadevergoeding te vorderen, alsmede om tot beeindiging van de arbeidsovereenkomst over te gaan indien die nog mocht bestaan." Can someone please help? |

without prejudice to the other rights of the company pursuant to the law or the agreement under review, such as the right either to performance of the infringed provision or a prohibition / ban, or instead of this penalty to claim compensation, as well as to terminate the contract of employment in the event that it still exists.

On seconds thoughts: "vorige" does mean 'previous', 'preceding' aforesaid/aforementioned' as applicable here. But in your sentence you mention "overige", which should translate as 'other'. |
