Explanation:
interest you have to pay when you are late with payment. Have encountered this term a lot. I think it's more Flemish than Dutch.

ok, that is how I\'ve always translated it. it IS Flemish which means I also have the French equivalent, which was easily findable on Eurodicatom. Default interest is among the possibilities. As is my suggestion.
