Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / lease agreement
Dutch term or phrase: operationele serviceleasing
"In overweging nemende, dat:

This term appears in a lease agreement. I have found a few hits for 'operational service leasing' as a collocation, but would be open to some confirmation or other solutions. TIA, Rob

I think \'operating service lease\' would be better than \'operating service leasing\'.

Explanation:
for some strange reason operational lease and service lease appear on thousands of NL sites (a Dutch speciality?).but also on good ol' native anglo sites. HOWEVER: operational service lease is only on NL sites. go figure.

. Financial Lease
(a) Non-cancelable and remains in effect for most of the useful life of the equipment.
(b) Agreements usually are from three to seven years, with five years the average.
(c) Responsibilities associated with ownership - such as insurance and
maintenance and repairs - are the duty of the lessee (MIT). Although
the lessee assumes these responsibilities, ownership of the equipment
remains with the lessor (leasing company).
(d) A provision may be included in the agreement, which allows the
lessee to purchase the equipment when the lease expires at either fair
market value or for 10% (+/-) of the original equipment cost.

2. Operational Lease
(a) Cancelable and generally remains in effect for a short time period -
less than the useful life of the equipment.
(b) Agreements usually are for a number of months or one year, with an
option to extend for a number of months or an additional year.
(c) Agreements may provide purchase option privileges - the application
of a small portion of payments made to the outright purchase of the
equipment during the lease period.
(d). Following the expiration of one agreement, the lessor (leasing
company, manufacturer, or vendor) is generally able to lease the
equipment to another party, and following the expiration of that
agreement, to another party - until the useful life of the equipment has been consumed

neutral  xxxjarry: 'Operating lease' = A lease other than a finance (NOT financing) lease (SSAP 21, para. 17). See my answer link for "operating service lease" below.
