Hans, many thanks - you've capptured my concerns in a nutshell because had the PA meant to refer only to the cancellation of registered mortgages (which it certainly does include) it could have stated that more clearly. Simply stating "registrations" is however too vague for an English reader .....perhaps something along the lines of "cancellation of ENDORSEMENTS against the property" - in conveyancing (property law) this would cover any entry against the title deed that would prevent its subsequent transfer - e.g. mortgages, attachments etc. |
