Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Power of Attorney
Dutch term or phrase: inschrijving (in a particular context)
Hi all,

I'm busy with a power of attorney for the purchase of property and the raising of finance for the acquisition. The preceding sentences describe the powers of the agent, namely to negotiate the date of occupation, conditions, periods etc, to bind the principal to the payment of the purchase price, authorising the agent to actually pay the purchase price and then for the agent to:

« daarover (the purchase price) authentieke kwijting te eisen MET OPHEFFING VAN DE INSCHRIJVING DIE KON AMBTSHALWE GENOMEN GEWEST ZIJN;

I'm struggling with what «inschrijving» could possibly be in this context in the light of the relevant verb «GENOMEN».

Any suggestions??

Thanking all in anticipation

mortgage registration
Explanation:
would be my guess, given the reference to "opheffing" and "kwijting".

Whether it be in Flemish or in Dutch, I find the phrase: \"DIE KON AMBTSHALVE GENOMEN GEWEEST ZIJN\" very puzzling. I could live with \"ambsthalve genomen zijn\", but the \"geweest\" bit really throws me.

For the \"opheffing voor de inschrijving\" I cannot offer any other explanation than that the \'mortgage\' (bond in the South African context), servitude or some other encumbrance on the property has been cancelled.

Explanation:
In view of the context: " ... DIE KON AMBTSHALVE GENOMEN GEWENST ZIJN", which imho refers to it.
