This is from a "overeenkomst van opdracht", and I am also translating the accompanying "samenwerkingsovereenkomst". X and Y are the Parties.
I am not sure about the "rechtspersoonlijke, samenwerkingsverband" bit. My draft translation is:
If X intends to carry out his work in a (private limited) company controlled by him or in any other company, whether or not a ??? joint venture??, he must immediately inform Y of this in writing.

yep Jarry is right - was typing further before this went offline - it can cover any form of cooperation - I\'d aim here with no further clues in your text for the widest possible translation because that is the intention of a clause like this - joint venture is abit restrictive unless your text has further info.

I\'d say generally: working relationship/form of cooperation / cooperative association or collaborative relationship are the widest choices here - you need to go wide because (a) you dont know that it specifically a partnership or joint venture which have their own legal defintions and (b) the reason for a clause like this is to make sure notice is given under the widest possible circumstances.
Thanks Jarry and Debbie for your help. I will go for the widest possible sense as you rightly advise, becuase there is nothing in the text to indicate a need for a more restrictive translation. Plus, as you say, this clause is to ensure that the Party concerned is informed of practically every scenario. Thanks very much!
