De verkochte zaken zijn op [date] geleverd door X te berichten dat de zaken werden vrijgesteld aan gerequestreerde.

My instinct is to put: "that is to say" for "te berichten dat" but I'm not sure.

As in the act of delivery of the sold items \'took place\' (as in was initiated by) by notifing the person requesting the goods that the goods could be \'picked up\'

I had misplaced the emphasis, reading it as 'geleverd door X' rather than 'door X te berichten', which then messed up the rest of the sentence. Good job I checked with you all!

Chris - it's ok, I had gerekwestreerde down as respondent anyway. It was actually the client that used that alternative spelling, it wasn't my typing on autopilot ;)
