This Deed of Assignment can be used where an existing tenant or tenants wish to leave a property prior to the date of termination of an Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement and assign the tenancy to a replacement tenant or tenants.

A more general Deed of Assignment for use with assigning interest in specified property is included in the Financial Documents section - please see the link at the bottom of this page.

This Deed is suitable for use in England and Wales but can only be used where a clause in the original Tenancy Agreement allows assignment of the tenancy, and is supplementary to that Tenancy Agreement.

The document allows you to provide details of:

landlord
outgoing tenants
remaining tenants
replacement tenants
address of property
date of original tenancy agreement.

Juridische Lexicon gives akte as act / instrument / deed and in de plaatsstelling is given in various other JL expressions but all meaning substitution. Given the description of your text and its contents, I think you'll find this fits neatly.

agree  Kitty Brussaard: Ik denk dat je helemaal gelijk hebt. Iets uitgebreidere informatie over de inhoud/strekking van het contract zou welkom zijn. Bij juridische vertalingen is 'gissen vaak missen' :-)
