It is hard to find an exact explanation on the web, but there does seem to be a clear distinction between 'verdeling' en 'afstand-deling'.
I found one website where 'afstand-deling' is translated as 'renonciation' or 'cession' in French (http://www.dekamer.be/QRVA/pdf/51/51K0061.pdf ). I'd say 'renunciation' or 'renunciation of division' would be a safe bet. And by the way, it also seems to apply in inheritance law...
Explanation: Literally: 'separation division'. The passage containing the term refers to various methods of disposal of property. 'Afstand-deling' or 'division of assets' is one of these methods and can apply on divorce - or dissolution of some other form of de facto or contractual cohabitation. The division could be by court order or pursuant to a divorce (or other form of separation) agreement.
In Belgian legal usage, the term 'afstand-deling' seems to have become a short form of 'akte van afstand-deling' and would therefore be understood to apply to divorce. It is doubtful whether the short form, 'division of assets', applies in English (and certainly does not in all jurisdictions). Thus the addition of 'on divorce'.
Note:
(1) The alternatives in brackets, above, indicate the need to translate this term 'into the target legal system' as well as target language, as the types of legally recognised cohabitation and the commonly used term/s for their dissolution, as well as the basis for division - agreement or court order - will vary by legal system (cf. these differences in UK, Australian and US law, for instance).
(2) One should check the context to see whether the term (only) applies to fixed property or other assets, the latter being the safest if doubt exists on this point.

Note: 'on divorce' not necessary here as divorce is clear from the context.
