Here you get into trouble if you follow the wording of the source text (which itself is perhaps ill advised), because you end up with something like 'where the principles are not only demonstrated by example, but also complied with'. The usual problem in situations of this sort is the 'do as I say, not as I do' scenario, and a lot of effort goes into convincing managers that it's difficult to achieve compliance with principles in lower levels of an organisation if they are violated at higher levels.
In your case, I would suggest something like 'where these principles are not only taught, but also practiced'. |
