Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Manufacturing | | Dutch term or phrase: Stansen | I am currently working on a short translation on behalf of a manufacturer of banding / adhesive tapes / labels, and am struggling to find an appropriate translation for the term "stansen".
"Punching" or "perforation", as suggested by my Kluwer dictionary, seems a little contrived.
The context is as follows:
"Tot de mogelijkheden behoren:
"bedrukking binnenzijde band en contourstansen"
"vellen drukken en stansen"
"gedetailleerde fantasiestansingen"
"We spreken van een etiket als het materiaal gestanst is, door het stansen krijgt het etiket haar vorm."
