Dutch to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Marketing / Market Research / book | | Dutch term or phrase: op het netvlies van klanten komen | | Hi. This is from a book about marketing for Human Resources. I'm collaborating on it and a fellow translator insists "positioneren is op het netvlies van klanten komen" means "seeing through the client's eyes". I think it's more the sense of making an imprint on their mind, but would be grateful for some adjudication. |
| | | be striking to the client | Explanation: or 'appeal to the client', certainly more 'make an impression on the client' than 'see through the client's eyes' in my humble opinion. |

| Grading comment Thanks so much to everyone for answering, all the answers were really helpful. Went for Dave's 'make an impression on the client' in the end, as it fitted well with the rest of the context. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
