Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / instruction manual for sliding doors
Dutch term or phrase: aanslaglat
Appears in an instruction manual for sliding doors:

'Bevestig the aanslaglat'

Is this the jamb? I would be grateful if someone could tell me what exactly a 'aanslaglat' is (as well as a 'jamb') just to get things straight.

Many thanks in advance!

striking plate
Explanation:
The striking plate is screwed to the jamb. This is the steel plate for the location of the lock bolt. Would this make sense?

Thanks for your suggestion, I think this is what is intended (don't you love it when you are provided with an instruction manual without any illustrations... ) ;-)

Kind regards,

Ron
