bung connection or adapter Explanation: Not absolutely sure, but I think they mean something like the parts shown in the references below for connecting the pump to the reservoir/container/drum etc. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 45 mins (2013-04-11 21:24:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, 2nd reference should read: https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AGIPortalWeb/WebSource/Prod... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 46 mins (2013-04-11 21:25:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Also: bung *connector* -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2013-04-12 08:48:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Further ref. information from the dicos: Grote Van Dale: bondel = (...) stop; bondelblik = stuk blik waarmee de stop van een vat werd verzegeld; bondeltrekker = soort kurkentrekker waarmee de stop uit het vulgat van een vat getrokken werd Oxford Dictionary: bung = a stopper for closing a hole in a container (from Middle Dutch 'bonghe' (noun); -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2013-04-12 09:08:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Another term would be a tube-to-bung coupling, or simply a bung coupling or coupler. There are numerous ref's on the Internet for this, for example: http://www.google.com/patents/US6497260 In a preferred embodiment, a quick connect adaptor has a first coupling that attaches to the bung of a plastic blow molded drum by way of pivotal retainer members and a second coupling that connects to a conventional dispense head. The bung has internal or external threads and may have a radially extending circumferential lip or other retainer member engagement structure. The first coupling provides a secure attachment that is quickly accomplished by manual operation. In a preferred embodiment, the pivotal retaining members pivot into and out of a retention position with the radially and circumferential extending lip. The retaining members are mechanically linked with a circular manual handle member to operate the pivoting of said plurality of retaining members. The pivotal members are preferably biased toward the retention position. These couplings will generally utilize O-rings for sealing. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day12 hrs (2013-04-13 09:18:59 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- @Asker: Graag gedaan Geale.
