It may actually be a typo for 'schaafraam'. No Google hits for 'schaafram', 1 for 'schaafraam'. Context: finishing of weld after flash butt welding of two sheets in continuous pickling line.

Het is geen typo, denk ik. Het woord is uit twee woorden - 'schaaf' en 'ram' verzameld. Daarom denk ik dat het is een vertaling van het oorspronkelijke woord 'planishing'.

Many thanks, George. This certainly fits the context. At another point in the text, the author also writes 'schaafframe', but the whole thing was rather bady written anyway, leaving me to fill in the gaps with your help.
