Dutch to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Media / Multimedia | | Dutch term or phrase: 'verrekenbaar edoch niet terugvorderbaar voorschot' | Dear colleagues,
I cannot seem to find the right word(s) for 'verrekenbaar' in this phrase from the license agreement of my client (media company, Licensor in the agreement):
'Deze vergoeding bestaat onder meer uit een vaste maandelijkse licentievergoeding bij wijze van een verrekenbaar edoch niet terugvorderbaar voorschot op de vergoedingen die Licentienemer verschuldigd is over de bruto Exploitatieopbrengsten.'
Can someone help me out? Thanks! |

| Grading comment Thanks a lot. I had already translated it myself by using the word 'deductible', but somehow that word foremost brings taxes to my mind, which was far from useful in this piece of text. I was actually looking for an adjective for the verb 'to settle'. Does that even exist? 'Settleable'?
Anyway, thank you for your answers and comments. 3 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
