In dit geval: chronisch zieke kinderen die voor een onderzoek hun zieke leeftijdsgenootjes mochten interviewen.

De opties in de Grote Van Dale: partner/companion in misfortune/adversity, fellow-sufferer hebben niet de voorkeur van de opdrachtgever. Is fellow patient wellicht een optie, of bestaat er een gangbare UK/US term voor?
