Explanation: M.i. mij gaat het hier niet om een bedrijfsnaam maar om het begrip 'arbodienst' als zodanig. IMHO kun je dit prima vertalen als 'health and safety service (provider)' of evt. als 'health and safety department' als het om een interne arbodienst zou gaan (wat hier niet het geval lijkt te zijn.
De toevoeging 'occupational' (i.e. occupational health and safety service provider) kom je in deze context ook wel tegen, maar lijkt mij niet per se noodzakelijk.
Hoi Frank, voor de vertaling van 'arbodienstverlening' als onderwerp van een offerte zou ik denk ik kortweg kiezen voor '(occupational) health and safety services'. Of eventueel iets uitgebreider: 'delivery of (occupational) health and safety services'.
Gebaseerd op de huidige "agrees" denk ik dat het antwoord van Kitty het best is, maar dan nog een vraagje: zouden jullie "Arbodienstverlening" (los, als onderwerp van offerte) hetzelfde vertalen?
Er is onder een van de voorgaande kudozvragen eenzelfde issue: moet je "eigennamen" vertalen? (zoals Deens vs Nls ministerie?) Als je een offerte VAN een ARBOdients vertaalt, dan lijkt het me juist om de eigennaam te handhaven en te gebruiken zoals in mijn voorgestelde vertaling.

There are no google hits at all for "certified health and safety service" or even [certified "health and safety service"] and to me it is unclear what that is supposed to mean. Who or what are "certified health and safety providers" and if they at all exist, by whom are they certified?
A certified Arbo service provider, on the other hand, is certified by the Dutch government:

I would not translate this with something that doesn't ring a bell, and sometimes English speakers may have to be educated about something that is typical Dutch.
If the translation is intended for a different culture, and is looking for equivalents, then more research into that culture is required. If, on the other hand, the translation is for English or other speaking languages about a service in the Netherlands, it should be translated as Certified Arbo Service provider.

Mm, verkeerde communicatie: er zijn wel genoeg hits met "health and safety service" maar geen met "certified health and safety service." Dat heeft me op het verkeerde been gezet. Hier in de VS gaat het altijd om OSHA, zoals het in NL waarschijnlijk om de Arbo gaat. Dus mijn neiging is om het toch te vertalen met Arbo erin, omdat het om een bestaande certificatie en om een Nederlandse dienst gaat.
