"Een zonder intraluminaal contrast gemaakte CT-scan van het abdomen toonde diverticulose ter plaatse van het sigmoid, zonder aanwijzingen voor diverticulitis, en een niet-ontplooid colon descendens en sigmoid, waardoor een stricturerende, oppervlakkig groeiende massa niet kon worden uitgesloten."

The context is a constipated patient who developed megacolon while being treated with lactulose. The patient also had ileus and diverticulosis.

Explanation:
... the problem apparently being that some parts of the colon are folded or pressed together, thereby causing an obstruction or stricture (see the other question). Lungs in that same condition are said to be 'unexpanded' so this could perhaps also be the correct term for intestines - they should present themselves expanded inside the abdomen.
