Bij intake worden alle testen gedaan. Bij follow-up contacten, en na aanpassing, worden testen in vrijveld afgenomen.

Can anyone tell me the meaning of the expression "in vrijveld" here?

I don't think that in this case 'free field' (an area without reflections, http://www.acousticalsolutions.com/education/pdfs/Free_Field... is meant, so the source text seems off and should hev said 'in het veld'.

On an added note: the conditions for these tests will probably be less than ideal (and generally not 'free field') in comparison to the intake tests.
