Dutch term or phrase: flikkerscotomen
Flikkerscotomen are light flashes that start small in one eye, blocking sight partially in that eye; it gradually grows and causes in many cases (eye) migraine.

Does anyone know the English term for this? So far I haven't been able to find it anywhere I looked.

Thanks in advance for your help!
