The term I am struggling with is 'sluier'. It appears in a second opinion report which is a study of radiological images.

Explanation:
It appears as if the radiologist is just describing what he/she is seeing (a veil might be a white opacity on the X-ray in the shape of a veil). Neither Coehlo nor v. Dale give any other definition; more context might help. Good luck!
