Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) / Orthopedics
Dutch term or phrase: verhaking van de facetten
Verhaking van de facetten op niveau Th11-Th12, waarbij het inferieure facet van Th11- anterieur staat ten opzichte van het superieure facet van Th12.

This term is from a medical report about a patient who has been in an accident and sustained multiple injuries.

I am not sure how to translate verhaking.
US English is needed.

fusion

Explanation:
I am not entirely sure, but I think it is a fusion. For example, if someone goes for a neck operation, it may be necessary to remove a piece of bone from the (normally) hip and insert it in the neck, via a fusion, to rectify the neck injury.
