Dutch term or phrase: in die dat hij strekte
In de loop van de nacht van 22-08 op 23-08 verslechterde zijn toestand in die dat hij strekte
waarbij de CT overigens nauwelijks enige verandering liet ziet.

I am completely puzzled by this as there seems to be something missing from this sentence.
The following sentence is :
Aangenomen mocht worden dat patiënt's conditie gedeeltelijk veroorzaakt werd door verhoogde intracraniêle druk t.g.v. de haemorrhagische contusiehaard zodat tot operatieve behandeling werd besloten.

Any help, insights would be much appreciated.

agree  Josephine Isaacs: I would probably use 'extend' rather than 'stretch' because it involves the extensor muscles. See also:

  -> Thank you Josephine, good point. I don't think you could say 'the patient extended' though, but 'adopted an extended posture' would be fine and closer to the original text. BTW, 'de patiënt strekte' also sounds a bit awkward to me.
