Dutch term or phrase: op de breuk
"Het is glanzend en blauwachtig op de breuk, gelijkmatig van kleur, glad en vrij van blazen, schilfers, scheuren, barsten en onderbrekingen, die de sterkte van het zink kunnen verminderen."

This is a Flemish text about roofing and they are talking about zinc sheet metal.
Zinc in rolls does have a bluish shimmer to it. Do they mean the cur end here?
