assuming this isn't the very first time they are having something translated. most organisations have a set way to refer to themselves in English..... is it a regional Flemish group or are they national? In that case you can always have a look at the Fr version and see how they've handled it. It's best not to wing it. Ask. It's a always a nice start to a job if the name/doc title is straight. and for websites it's even more important.

IMO 'non-profit organisation/association' or alternatively 'not-for-profit xxx' and 'non-profitmaking xxx' are all absolutely fine here. See also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonprofit_organization.

vzw - vereniging zonder winstoogmerk

ik bedoel 'zonder winstoogmerk' wordt vertaald met 'non-profit'

en ik denk dat je 'npo' kunt gebruiken
