Dutch to English translations [PRO] Other / security | | Dutch term or phrase: monteur beveiliger | In a list of examples of 'hands-on' security jobs, together with 'objectbeveiliger' and 'servicetechnicus beveiliging'. No further context available as it is just a list and there is no discussion of these positions.
I was thinking of something like 'security engineer' or 'security systems installation technician' (with 'servicetechnicus beveiliging' translated as 'security service technician'). |

| | security technician | Explanation: I think your 'security technician' is the best option for the term you requested. For 'servicetechnicus beveiliging' the logical ' security service technician' might not work, since it is ambiguous. Is it a [technician] working for a [security service], or is it a [security technician] providing a [service] (I am having a hard time explaining the ambiguity, but I hope you understand...). This is why 'security maintenance technician' might be a better solution for the other term you were referring to.
Please note that there are almost 100,000 hits on Google for 'security technician'.
