... Explanation: sorry, don't know the English word for it, but I do have an explanation in Dutch for you. Briefvariabelen zijn velden die in standaardbrieven open gelaten zijn, zoals naam en adres van de geadresseerde, datum, aanhef etc zodat alleen die nog maar door de schrijver ingevuld hoeven te worden. variable information in a letter Explanation: Perhaps 'briefvariabelen' refers to the variable information in standard letters, such as name, address, salutation and so on. Mail merge is a feature in Word. With mail merge you can merge boilerplate information (such as a form letter) with variable information (such as a database of names and addresses of customers).
