Nog een mogelijkheid...
Ik zou hier niet beginnen met een -ing vorm, net als je in het NL een zin in een brief eigenlijk niet meer met een tegenwoordig deelwoord mag laten beginnen, hoezeer dat er ook is ingeslopen. Dit is erg verouderd (zei ze als voormalig directiesecretaresse).

Wat cooperation vs. collaboration betreft: het ligt er een beetje aan of dit om een Britse of Amerikaanse brief gaat. Ik heb tijdens mijn studie (vertaler Engels) geleerd dat het woord "collaboration" bij Britten een nare bijsmaak heeft en dus vermeden moet worden (als het tenminste niet gaat om collaborateurs). Ik ben daar een tijdje geleden ook nog eens op gewezen door een mede-Proz-er, toen ik dit woord ook "verkeerd" gebruikte (d.w.z. in plaats van cooperation). Maar bij enig speurwerk via Google heb ik gemerkt dat in US geschriften het woord "collaboration" wel gewoon gebruikt wordt. Aan jou de keus!
