Dutch term or phrase: ondergeschoven kindje
"Integendeel de inktkeuken is het ondergeschoven kindje van de drukkerij waar vervlogen tijden van oude ambachten weer terug komen."

I have though of translating this phrase as the "orphan", but am hesitating beacuse of the concluding phrase that follows.

Any ideas??
