Anyone who knows the English equivalent?

swabber
Explanation:
1. One who uses a swab.
2. A swab or mop.
3. Slang A sailor.

The ship is known for changing its course irregularly, like the movement of a zwabber or mop. Taken from the original cleansing of the deck, it can also mean flapping, shaking, flip-flopping, and the like.

So since a person who does the swabbing is also indicated as a swabber, it would be an option to say simply this. But I cannot find any references with respect to ships. Hence the low confidence level.

I suppose that "swabber" will do nicely in my translation. I'll go for this one. Thank you very much.
