" XX kan een pak referenties voorleggen wat betreft ontwerp en uitvoeren van nieuwe machinekamers en **hermotorisaties**." Het betreft een brochure van een Belgisch bedrijf in de haven van Zeebrugge dat zich bezighoudt met scheepsmechanica, -reparatie en -afbouw. Ik krijg genoeg hits voor het woord, maar krijg geen duidelijk beeld bij wat het nu is. Ik weet niet of het gebruikt kan worden als synoniem voor revisie/overhalen (van een motor), termen die beide in de tekst voorkomen. Kan iemand mij vertellen wat hermotorisatie eigenlijk is? De motor vervangen, reviseren, afstellen?

Hermotorisatie is volgens mij geen revisie van een motor, maar een vervanging door een krachtiger/moderner exemplaar (dat verschilt van de originele motor).
