Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Social Sciences - Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. / archiefvormer
Dutch term or phrase: archiefvormer
Word in context:
"Sinds 2004 wordt het merendeel van de databank van archieven en archiefvormers ook aangeboden in de publiekscataloog."

I've also found this explanation of what an archiefvormer is:
"Momenteel ben ik voor archiefonderzoekers (dus ook journalisten) een nieuwe zoekmethode aan het ontwikkelen. De zogenaamde archiefvormer staat hierin centraal. De archiefvormer bent u, ik, instellingen, bedrijven, stichtingen, rijksoverheid etc. Zelfs een archiefinstelling is een archiefvormer."

archivist

Explanation:
Wikipedia gives the following definition, which seems to cover it nicely.
An archivist is a professional who assesses, collects, organizes, preserves, maintains control over, and provides access to information determined to have long-term value. The information maintained by an archivist can be any form of media (photographs, video or sound recordings, letters, documents, electronic records, etc.). As Richard Pearce-Moses wrote, "Archivists keep records that have enduring value as reliable memories of the past, and they help people find and understand the information they need in those records."
