Dutch term or phrase: DAS model
D=dominant gedrag
A=afstandig gedrag
S =sociaal gedrag
My text (training manual) talks about this model. I have the common dilemma of what to do. I've tried to find an English equivalent for this and so far have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know if there is an English equivalent for this? If not, should I leave it untranslated with an explanation?

Typology: dominant, detached and social behaviour
Explanation:

It is not so much a model, but a typology:

2.2 Observe and identify your business counterpart
It is important that you are able to identify the type of person with whom you are
dealing. There are three main types of businesspersons:
the dominant ones, the social ones and the detached ones.

So it called a model, but we talk about a typology. I would stay away from attempts to create some DDS-model.

Thanks Max. It was helpful for you to emphasise that it is in fact a typology rather than a model. Decided to stick with the abbreviation, but put it in inverted commas followed by explanation.
