This text describes various VIP packages available for spectators of the Tour of Flanders cycle race, which starts in Bruges. This one kicks off with breakfast in the Concertgebouw.

Door de bijzondere ligging van het Concertgebouw heeft u een prima zicht op het 't Zand waar druppelsgewijs de bussen met renners aankomen. Het spreekt voor zich dat u ongestoord en onbelemmerd de aangezichten van de favorieten kunt monsteren. Van 't Zand is het maar een handvol stappen naar de Markt van Brugge waar de renners gestaag het **rennersblad** tekenen en de laatste indrukken over hun vormpeil en hun kansen met u delen.

2.3.009 Riders and their team managers shall assemble at the place where the starting sheet is to be signed. They shall be present and ready at least fifteen minutes before the time of the start from the assembly
point. The signing of the starting sheet will terminate ten minutes before the time for leaving the assembly.

In de tweede etappe van de rittenkoers Circuit Franco-Belge verliet het peloton het Franse vasteland. Er werd koers gezet naar België, meer bepaald de Vlaamse Ardennen. Plan was om enkele knikjes, zoals de Rode Berg, te verwerken om vervolgens na 183 kilometer te finishen in Poperinge. Het weer was met een temperatuur van zeven graden, wind en tonnen regen zonder overdrijven apocalyptisch te noemen.

Aan het vertek in Bray-Dunes kwamen nog 162 renners het rennersblad tekenen, de Deen Brian Vandborg (GLS), volgend jaar bij Liquigas, gaf er deze morgen de brui aan. Daar zat het slechte weer en de snelle wedstrijdomstandigheden zeker voor iets tussen. Ook onderweg vielen er heel wat opgevers te meldden, met als voornaamste klanten Tomas Vaitkus (Astana) Steven De Jongh (Quick Step).
