Without seeing the entire sentence, I took bobijnen as a plural noun; overbobijnen would be the upper bobbins in the loom, as distinct from the onderbobijnen. 2. Tapijten and velours are both sculptured fabrics, that is, there are variations in thickness. Platweefsels are a whole variety of fabrics -- cotton, wool, silk, man-made fabrics -- that are all of one thickness. |
