The 45 member companies are specialised in environmental technology. Each company concentrates on one or more areas of the environmental field. The VLM is a branch of the 'Vereniging FME-CWM', the association of enterprises in the mechanical, metalworking, plastics, electronic and electrical engineering industries and allied sectors. Each VLM member company has specific environmental know-how, applicable in plants and equipment in order to reduce or to prevent environmentally harmful emissions. Supplying technological solutions, preventing emissions at the source and developing new technologies are an integral part of their production process. VLM members have developed a wide diversity of techniques to various kinds of waste streams. Whether dealing with industrial or domestic waste water, domestic or chemical waste, slurry or sewage sludge, there is an efficient and environmentally acceptable way of dealing with it.
