Dutch term or phrase: oerdegelijk
Website of a company that makes removable sofa covers. Here they're describing one of the various fabrics available.

Oerdegelijk en stijlvol! Een klavertjevier: een stof die sierlijk, zacht, zeer duurzaam en bijzonder onderhoudsvriendelijk is. De combinatie van materiaal en structuur zorgen voor een rijke uitstraling.

Having rejected Van Dale's extremely solid/reliable; old-fashioned as inappropriate, does this convey the idea of 'robust'? Problem there is that I've seen products described as both oerdegelijk AND robuust on the web :-(

hard-wearing
Explanation:
A hard-wearing, but attractive sofa cover.

E.g.:
-> "There's also a wide selection of hard wearing but attractive fabrics, in anything from denim to chenille, faux leather or suede. Many modern sofa and chair covers are fully machine washable, so it's not difficult to keep then clean."

Ah yes, should have realised they were using yet another variation on slijtvast & duurzaam, which litter the text. Thanks, everyone.

extremely solid

Explanation:
I suggest you go for extremely solid. That is what oerdegelijk does mean!

yes, I agree with the very durable, in the context, but later on in the sentence they talk about durable, so don't know really whether you should use the same word

Notes to answerer
Asker: Accurate maybe, but not really very appropriate as a description of a fabric, I'm afraid!

disagree  Arie Uittenbogaard: Extremely soild furniture is not the same as oerdegelijk furniture.

durable

Explanation:
The OER-part literally evokes the witness of time to argue for the material’s durability. But the purpose of this little sentence is not to convey information but to instill trust. I’d drop the adjective and go with a similar sloganesque phrase:
Durable and stylish.

neutral  Buck: in today's dumbed-down society, I wonder if anyone would know what it meant in this context?

sturdy

Explanation:
Don't want to make things more complited, but this is another option.

"If your sofa is used on a daily basis, you should buy a slipcover in a sturdy fabric. Denim, chintz, linen, ticking, and canvas are all good.. "
