Dutch term or phrase: doortast
In a description of overalls: 'een doortast in de linker zijnaad'

I think this must be an opening which allows you to access the pockets of the clothes worn underneath the work overalls, but can't seem to find the English translation for it.

neutral  Lianne Van De Ven: Not sure about this one. Side slit rather seems to be a slit as in a skirt, not an opening. The referenced hip pockets with side access are just that: *pockets* with side access.
