1. http://liegeliving.wordpress.com/category/wonen-in-luik/
2. http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iconostase

complies with, is aligned with, matches, meets, follows
Explanation:
Jack, I discussed with some others who are also fairly expert. A consensus opinion is that the criteria may well be 3 dimensional (x,y,z-axes) and the interface referred to thus complies with, is aligned with, matches, meets, follows these - vis-a-vis maybe a camera system? that the driver is linked into.
The only other oe that I personally thought about in the middle of last night - yes, I know, WEIRD! was "switches between" however, the first suggestion seems more logical.

Besides the meanings given by Van Dale (roughly: to contribute or intercede), I think this discussion (and an off-line contribution I was very happy to receive) shows that there are probably two other basic meanings of 'komt tussen', viz. 'to occur' (in the sense of 'komt voor') and 'to act or operate' (one mening of the French 'intervenir'). This is assuming, of course, that the author of my source document can be taken seriously (which I think he can)! In the context of my source document, I opted for 'relevant', which I would say is more or less in line with 'komt voor' ('to occur') but wider in meaning. Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it!
