snelloper simply means 'fast selling product': positioning bakken filled with fast sellers close to the order picking station would make total sense...

I get the feeling that your references point to two different concepts.

I haven't been able to figure out how the 'bakken met snellopers' work (yet), but I think that in the second example, 'snelloper' refers to a rolling door, i.e. a 'snelloopdeur' or 'snelroldeur':

In your example, the pallets have to pass through a 'sluice' (invoersas) before entering the cold room via the 'snelloper'.

Although these three links initially seemed to point in the direction of the word 'snelloper' being used for some form of 'pallet truck', 'pallet jack,' 'electric pallet jack', 'electric pallet truck', etc in the context of order picking, I am now pretty sure that you are right about the word being used for the actual stock turnover velocity of the products being transported through the picking area: i.e. fast-moving products, and slow-moving products / fast-movers and slow movers (or fast-moving / slow-moving items/stock) rather than a device/tool used to transport them (quickly).
