Dans une description d'un complexe d'habitation, je trouve la phrase suivante : "De bebouwing is stedelijk met hofachtige structuren rondom een park." Je ne comprends pas la signification de "hofachtig".

"Hof" est à la fois "jardin", "enclos" et "ensemble de maisons autour d'une place" (comme dans un béguinage); dans le dernier cas on parle souvent de "hofje" (collègue Nicolette pense à cela). Cependant, en architecture moderne le mot peut aussi évoquer des maisons autour d'une place tranquille, ce qui pourrait convenir ici également. Il faudrait voir! "-achtig" veut dire "qui ressemble à".
