Noch immer aus der Anleitung für ein Computerprogramm, jetzt die stapsgewijze Anleitung. Meilenstein scheint mir hier nicht die richtige Übersetzung und 2. Schritt ist mir zu wenig.

Alvorens over te kunnen gaan naar de 2e *mijlpaal* is het van belang dat het document volledig is ingevuld en goedgekeurd door ons.

Explanation:
niet de letterlijke vertaling, want mijlpaal is juist het einde van een etappe, niet de etappe zelf.

Toch lijkt de frase 'alvorens over te kunnen gaan naar de tweede mijlpaal' wel op een etappe te duiden.
