Mi chiedevo se qui 'pasta' sta proprio per 'pasta' (di peperoncino messicano piccante chipotle) o per 'polvere'. Cercando in rete trovo anche 'pasta di peperoncino', voi come lo tradurreste ? Grazie !

pasta di peperoncini/pasta di chipotle

Escludo la polvere, qui trovi la ricetta del "chipotle paste": http://www.ehow.com/how_6505109_make-chipotle-paste.html
È una pasta che può ricordare il concentrato di pomodoro, perché si prepara usando soltanto i peperoncini jalapeño e nient'altro (forse un po' di sale) ed è, per l'appunto, molto concentrata e densa.

Sì, confermo, anzi è più probabile che rientri in altre preparazioni e non venduta così com'è (sarebbe troppo piccante!). Vai pure tranquillo;-)
