In italiano dovrebbe corrispondere ai prefissi "De" o "Di", ecc. nei cognomi.
Questa parola viene di solito inserita tra Nome e Cognome negli elenchi dei dati personali, in italiano non si usa, ma quale sarebbe una traduzione adatta?

anche se la proposta di Mustafa corrisponde all'esatta traduzione di tussenvoegsel, metterei in questo caso prefisso, anche perché dal punto di vista linguistico infisso ha un altro significato.
