Tisanotteri = nella tassonomia animale, ordine di piccoli insetti con quattro ali lunghe frangiate e trasparenti che si nutrono suggendo linfa vegetale (Thysanoptera) (Zingarelli).

Trips = naam voor het donderbeestje van het geslacht Thrips van de orde Thysanopter.
Sommige tripsen zuigen aan de toppen van vlasplanten (Van Dale).

In het Italiaans schijnt het beestje "ditisco" te heten:

"La forma più comune e rappresentativa è Dytiscus marginalis, dalla livrea marrone a riflessi verdastri orlata da una linea gialla, cui la specie deve appunto il nome di ditisco marginato." Op deze link staat er ook een foto.

Explanation:
De beestjes heten Thrips in het Latijn en worden zo ook wel in het Italiaans genoemd. Verder staan ze onder de naam tripide bekend.
