Note:
to protect ourselves = le-hitgonen (reflexive verb)
You can also say le-hagen al atzmeynu.

Sorry about the typo in the header - it\'s tzafon, not tzfon (which means \'north of\').

oops ... add after tziv\'oteyhem:
ha-nikhnasim or ha-polshim (the invading).
Modifiers follow the noun in Hebrew.
