Explanation: AWP: common abbreviation for a convertible body style known as the "all-weather Phaeton" [see above] which offered adequate protection for driver and passengers even in the most inclement weather.
Explanation: I just called a Cadillac dealership and talked to a salesman who sells Escalade. He said he never heard of "AWP" in this context and suggested that this could be a typo for "AWD" - all wheel drive.
Could it be?
