English term or phrase: stepped sleeve vs. shoulder sleeve

I am looking at a picture of a sleeve in an injection mold, that has multiple different diameters, that go from small to large across the length of the sleeve, and look like steps, as they get bigger.

I have a choice between 2 terms, and I haven't been able to find satisfactory explanations of these 2 terms. Does anyone know what the difference is between a "shoulder sleeve" and a "stepped sleeve"?

I am leaning towards "stepped sleeve" because that sounds like the original source text(段付), and sounds more intuitive like the picture, and the term does appear to exist. Another translator has used "shoulder sleeve" for this, and I am interested to see if this is actually an appropriate translation (this term seems to exist also).

Any ideas you have about the differences in "stepped sleeve" vs. "shoulder sleeve", and which one would be more appropriate in this case would be great.

Explanation:
I have no specific experience in this particular field, but simply from linguistic and logical factors, I would have thought 'stepped sleeve' was the one you need.
'stepped' suggests to me several different diameters, whereas 'shoulder' suggests just a single diameter change.

So on that basis, I would have thought 'stepped' was more appropriate here.
