English term or phrase: Let's leave well enough alone
Hello! I'm translating this book about organizational behavior and now I've approached the part talking about conflict-handling styles. For each of the five styles, there are some sentences typical of a person using them. As for the avoiding style (a person tries to stay away from conflict, ignores disagreement etc), I find this sentence (which is supposed to be said by an individual using this style):

"That's okay. It wasn't important anyway. Let's leave well enough alone".
I understand that this person is glossing over sthg which may be important to them, but could you please rephrase this expression better for me, so that I can translate it as best as I can?
Thx!! :-)
