English term or phrase: We knew going in that we had these strengths
Hello!
I've come across this expression which I don't understand.
The text is about two partners in a society who get on very well with each other and who can work efficently together. Here is the context:
"The partenrs complement one another's competencies. Clark is the marketing whiz, for instance, while Ambuehl is the operations manager. "We knew going in that we had these strengths" says Ambuehl "It offers us two viewpoints on everything"
Thx! :)
